COVID/Vaccination Requirement

An important update for our wedding day The protection of loved ones, from this we won’t stray All guests who plan to attend & be seen Must provide proof of their covid vaccine We love you & it’s our sincere sentiment That this day be a safely celebrated event! *As of 8/28/21, all businesses in NYC are requiring proof of vaccination for entry. **We know the vaccine is a sensitive & personal decision for many. Family members and close friends of both the bride & groom have pre-existing health conditions increasing their risk if exposed to the virus. Your safety & that of our families is most important. If you are not comfortable attending, we completely understand. Those who will be joining us for cocktails, dinner, & dancing at THE event of the year must be vaccinated. We thank you immensely for your understanding, compassion, and support. With so much love, Leah & Alex
Question

What is required for guests to be considered Fully Vaccinated?

Answer

Proof of having completed the COVID-19 vaccination series at least 14 days PRIOR to the wedding. More specifically, please see cut-off dates for each FDA approved vaccine below. You must have your first shot of the Moderna vaccine by 8/26/21 & second shot by 9/26/21 OR You must have your first shot of the Pfizer vaccine by 9/5/21 & second shot by 9/26/21 OR You must have your single shot of the J&J vaccine by 9/26/2021 NOTE: Per the CDC and FDA, vaccines are ineffective until two weeks after the last shot. Our immune systems take 14 days to build the immunity necessary to fight COVID viral exposure.

Question

What if I'm not fully vaccinated?

Answer

If you fall into one of the below categories, you will not be considered vaccinated & unfortunately, will not be able to attend our wedding. 1) Are between vaccination doses (have had 1 of 2 but not yet both) OR 2) Are having your second dose (Moderna or Pfizer) or single dose (J&J) administered AFTER 9/26/2021 OR 3) Are not vaccinated Sadly, entry to our wedding will not be permitted. Please prepare accordingly.

Question

Do these requirements apply to young children?

Answer

No; the FDA has not yet approved any COVID-19 vaccines for children under the age of 12 years old. Children are excluded from this requirement which make it all the more important that all adult guests be fully vaccinated to protect our kiddos!
