Love is a Story

We met at South Dakota State University in Fall 2021, where we were getting our Human Biology B.S. Degree. It was in October at a Pre-professional meeting. Jennifer actually was late to the meeting (first time in her life, and Charlie didn’t know if he wanted to go, but eventually decided to go. It turned out that we were the only pre-chiropractic students attending the meeting. After the meeting, Jennifer stayed behind to ask questions to the presenter, and so did Charlie. Charles offered to walk Jenny back to her dorm, but Jennifer persuaded Charlie to go to his dorm because she had a friend there, and as a bonus, it was a longer walk to it. After that night, they met up to talk about classes and the future of their profession. After a few weeks of knowing each other, Charles asked Jennifer on a supper and movie date ( and of course it was a Marvel one). This date went well because we both decided to become official a few weeks later on another date. We continued to enjoy classes at SDSU and all the ice cream that was there (Fun fact: Jennifer has tried every flavor). We enjoyed the little moments and fun dates that were planned. We hung out with friends and found a rhythm in life that worked well for us. Our time together was filled with laughter and love and everything nice. But life has a way of throwing small surprises here and there. For a restful and celebratory week, we decided to take a trip during spring break to Omaha, NE, in March 2024. We went to the zoo, gardens, a castle, and parks. We had the best donuts and, of course, the best spaghetti in the city. But the main reason we went to Omaha was to see the musical of The Lion King. After the show, we walked around outside in the park, coming to the lit up bridge over the Missouri River ………... where we were turned away because the park was closed. Bummed, we started walking back up the park. And instead, sat in front of the reflection pools to marvel at the beautiful scenery. This is where Charlie pulled out his handmade ring box, opening it to reveal the most gorgeous ring, and proposed. Of course, Jennifer said yes enthusiastically. We moved to Bloomington, MN, and started Graduate school at Northwestern Health Sciences University in May 2024. Here we are pursuing our passion of Chiropractic together and will become Mr and Mrs Dendinger D.C. We also decided to adopt an adorable shih-poo dog named Daisy, she has been a great companion and provides entertainment during stressful times.
