Out of the way? Yep. Worth it? Absolutely. This is an easy hike to one of the prettiest places we’ve ever been. Take 113 south from Gilead, ME (crossing back in to NH). Turn left on to Stone House Rd. Stay right onto Shell Pond Rd and follow to parking area at end. Follow the signs from there.
