FAQs

Questions? Answers. Please visit the Maine Lakeside Cabins website for information on lodging and to book activities.
Question

Are kids invited to this shindig?

Answer

We wish we could include all children, but unfortunately due to lodging constraints we are only able to invite immediate family. We hope you understand and are able to join us for a fun weekend off!

Question

Can we bring our dog?

Answer

Our venue is dog friendly, but unfortunately (much like children) lodging constraints will not accommodate all our guests' fur kids. Invitations have been specifically addressed to those we are able to accommodate.

Question

What the heck should I wear?

Answer

This is certainly not a formal affair but it is a special occasion! Sundresses and grass appropriate shoes for the ladies and button down shirts for the guys. We will be outside the majority of the evening. Also, be prepared for a chill- it is northern Maine after all.

Question

So how does lodging work? Do we have to stay at Maine Lakeside Cabins?

Answer

While you are not required to stay at Maine Lakeside there are few other lodging options in the area. By staying on the property you can let loose and enjoy yourself without the need for a safe ride home. If you decide you would rather stay elsewhere please let us know when you RSVP. Each cabin can accommodate up to 10 people but we will try not to squeeze you in like sardines. For the most part guests will be split in to groups of 6-8. The total cost of the cabin will be split evenly between between all guests and each portion can be paid for separately. Maine Lakeside Cabins will handle all payment details when you confirm your reservation. Most of the cabins have only one bathroom but additional bathrooms and showers are available for guest use in the main lodge. The majority of guests (if not all) on the property will be there for our wedding. To allow for easier planning we will contact everybody well ahead of time to let you know who you will be staying with.

Question

Can we bring booze?

Answer

Heck yes! However, any alcohol you bring must be enjoyed in/near your cabin. Due to state liquor regulations only alcohol purchased from the bar in the main lodge (yep, its pretty much always open) can be consumed in the venue area of the property.

Question

Its a long trip, can we stay longer than a weekend?

Answer

Absolutely! Lodging has been reserved for Friday June 7 and Saturday June 8 but feel free to book your stay for as long as you'd like.

For all the days along the way
