Maid of Honor
Tori is Alexa's OG best friend. She is one of Alexa's younger sisters, the middle child, and it's fair to say the two never laugh harder than when they are together. Alexa couldn't imagine anyone else standing beside her on her wedding day! Tori graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Psychology and now works as a Registrar at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. She is also a Wedding and Lifestyle photographer on the side! Fun fact: Tori took our engagement photos!
Charlie Severe
Groomsman
Their fathers told Matt and Charlie that they should meet the other when attending Ohio University in the fall of 2004. Despite both being determined not to meet the other, Matt and Charlie met on accident through mutual friends on campus. Upon meeting, they became fast friends and never looked back! After many laughs and countless adventures, Matt is honored to have Charlie standing by his side on his wedding day. Charlie currently lives in Cincinnati with his girlfriend, Tanja. Fun Fact: Charlie is a die-hard Bengals fan!
Emily Waters
Maid of Honor
Emily is not only Alexa's sister but one of her closest confidants. Emily is the youngest of the Waters sisters, and she is wise beyond her years. Emily is easily the "cool" one, and her sense of humor is second to none. Emily is a Senior at Denison University, studying English and Music. She loves to write and work with kids. Emily currently lives in Mount Vernon but dreams of living in Boston! Fun fact: Emily likes to sing and is a beautiful vocalist!
Jed Stinner
Groomsman
Matt and Jed met at Ohio University after joining the Mixed Martial Arts club. While sharing jabs and jokes, the two became close friends and eventually roommates. Jed is married to his wife Jenn, and they have two boys Ian and Elijah. Matt and Jamison were both groomsmen in Jed and Jenn's wedding in which she forced them to wear pink as part of the tuxedo, and they are both still upset about it to this day. Fun Fact: Jed enjoys roasting his own coffee beans.
Emily Fisher
Bridesmaid
Emily is Alexa's soon-to-be sister-in-law and the youngest of the Fisher siblings. One of Alexa's favorite memories with Emily is attending a J. Roddy Walston and the Business concert at the Taft Theatre in Cincinnati. Alexa is excited to gain another sister. Emily is a proud Indiana University alumni and fierce Elementary Special Education Teacher. She is also a Camp Advisor for Camp Kesem in the summer. Emily currently lives in Indianapolis with her dog Maggie. Fun fact: Emily likes to cross stitch!
Michael Hunter
Groomsman
Mike is one of Matt's oldest friends from his time at Ohio University. Mike and Matt performed together in bands during their time on campus and continued when moving to Columbus. Following their passion for music, both worked together at PromoWest Productions. Mike and his wife Allasyn, live in Columbus with their two kids Stasiu and Nola Jo. Fun fact: Mike was the lead singer of Matthew's college band, The Ordnance.
Amber Green
Bridesmaid
Amber is one of Alexa's oldest friends! The two met their freshman year of high school. Amber is part of Alexa's chosen family and is everything you could ask for in a best friend. She leads with grace, and Alexa is honored to have her by her side for her big day. Amber studied Public Relations at Eastern Kentucky University. She is now a full-time stay at home mom to two beautiful children, Elianna and Shepard. Amber currently lives in her hometown of Mount Vernon with her husband, John, and their two children. Fun fact: Amber is obsessed with personal finance!
Jamison Sloan
Groomsman
Matt and Jamison also met at Ohio University (noticing a trend?). Becoming fast friends over soccer, music, and weekend festivities, the two have remained close friends since their time on campus. Jamison and his wife Liz live in Columbus with their kids Carl, Faye Marie, and Sonora. Fun fact: Jamison is a huge soccer fan and loves FC Cincinnati. Definitely make sure you talk to him about how much he hates Columbus SC.
Laura Waters
Mother of the Bride
Alexa has a very close relationship with her mom. She is often accused of sounding just like her! Laura has always given 100% of herself to her family, and for that, Alexa is eternally grateful. Alexa can't select just one favorite memory with her mom, but she thinks her family would agree; the story of the surprise reptilian guest in their Mexico hotel room is worth a share! Laura is an LPN at a Physicians Practice in Mount Vernon. She's been a nurse for over 30 years. She's also been Alexa's personal on-call nurse for all medical questions. Fun fact: Laura loves Billy Joel!
Scott Waters
Father of the Bride
Alexa also has a very close relationship with her dad. Scott always wanted to be the kind of dad that you could talk to like a best friend, and he's been successful in being that. It's fair to say that Alexa's love for music comes from her dad. In fact, Scott spent many-a-nights crimping little girls' hair for mini-livingroom concerts complete with light shows! Scott is a self-employed Contractor and Woodworker. Scott has been working in his craft for 28 years. Fun fact: Scott is a very talented drummer!
Michele Fisher
Mother of the Groom
Matthew is fortunate to have a mom like Michele. Michele made parenting look easy from her tireless efforts managing a household with three crazy kids and cooking some of the best food you have ever tasted. Some of Matthew's old teachers still ask for holiday baked goods. Michele helps manage the family business, Bagel Stop, and volunteers with the Hamilton County Democratic Party. Fun fact: Michele has personally met 3 living U.S. Presidents!
Gary Fisher
Father of the Groom
Gary has always been an example of hard work and a focus on family. It's safe to say that Matthew didn't just get his looks from his dad, but also his work ethic. A fan of one-liners and comedy, he is always ready for a laugh, and he loves a good story. After running his own business for over 30 years, he has changed careers and is now a successful commercial real estate agent in Cincinnati. Fun fact: Gary once saw the Rolling Stones for $2! Can you believe that?
Elliana Waters
Flower Girl
Elliana is Alexa's cousin and the most mature 10 years old you'll ever meet! One of Matt's favorite memories with Elli was teaching her how to fish at the lake house! Elli loves to learn and read, but most of all, she loves dogs. Alexa and Matt are excited to have her join them on their special day. Fun fact: Elliana wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up!
Everson Waters
Ring Bearer
Everson is Alexa's cousin, and he loves all things trucks! He is 4 years old and already has quite the sense of humor. Everson loves to play and ride his bike outside. If he's not playing outside, he's building big block towers. Alexa and Matt are excited to have Everson on their ring security team! Fun fact: Everson loves spicy pickles!
Sam Fisher
Officiant / Best Man
Sam is Matthew's younger but much taller brother. The middle child of the Fisher siblings, Sam, has been Matthew's closest friend ever since their mom insisted on dressing them in matching outfits. Sam studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, California, where he focused on his writing and acting career. Recently, Sam took a break from his L.A. career to move back to their hometown of Cincinnati to finish his degree at the University of Cincinnati. Matthew and Alexa are honored to have him as their officiant! Fun Fact: Sam once met Natalie Portman!
