3.10.2015 We were both going to Shasta college for culinary arts back in 2015 and of course didn't think much of it when passing by each other going to and from class. But I must have caught Aaron’s eye because one day he passed me a note. Yes, note passing still happens, even in college. And, with that note in short, he told me I was very beautiful and asked me out on a date, I do admit I hesitantly said yes, but I am so glad did. So, here we are going on 7 years and it’s like no time has passed. We are still those 18 and 24 year old's who are still so much in love.

Seven years... Seven years of adventure together, seven years of up and downs that we got through together. Seven years of laughing till we cry, seven years of dreaming what our future will look like. Seven years of helping each other grow into the human beings we are today, knowing we are stronger together than we ever were, apart, Six years of keeping Carli waiting, and wondering, lol. I have loved this woman from the start. She is my best friend, my partner, and the brightest light in my life. There is no other woman I would want to spend eternity with. The qualities of Carli May are Vast, Deep, and Genuine. It was time to devote ourselves to each other under God, and time to make a plan! With the help of my amazing Brother Jason, and my amazing sister-in-law Amy, we had a rock-solid plan! Fyi I'm terrible at planning things and keeping a poker face, so yeah, this was going to be tricky! A can of blackboard paint and some chalk pens, a goodie basket with her favorite snacks, and a whole lot of me freaking out inside we set out to Trinidad. It was there on the beach, I set my plan into action. I suggested that we sat back to back and write a loving message to each other, then count to 3 and turn around and show each other our mugs. She turned around and I was on one knee. Instantly that beautiful cry face that I fell in love with wells up with tears. I told her that she fulfills me, that I am a better man than I ever thought I could be because of her support, how she is the brightest light in my life, and how I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life on earth and beyond, with her. Astounding YES! After our day on the beach was to a little bungalow in the middle of the woods. Just us, some wine, a firepit, and some Brie and Pear and crispy prosciutto grilled cheese sandwich and a relaxing memorable night together, freshly engaged and so excited! A night we will never be able to forget, and with so many more to come!
