They met freshman year of high school at a local ski resort in Warwick, NY (Corinne's home town) and spent the following winter working together there as snowboard instructors. After years of friendship, they started dating at the end of their senior year before heading off to college — Hunter in New York and Corinne in South Carolina. They spent the next four and a half years long distance, visiting each other every few months and growing together through college. After graduating, they moved into their first apartment in Charlotte, North Carolina, adopted two kitties (Nova and Maverick), and grew deep roots in the Charlotte area. In February 2025, during a ski trip with friends in the North Carolina mountains, Hunter proposed at Beech Mountain — a full-circle moment on the slopes where their story first began.
