How do I get to/from the venue?

Answer

Bus transportation will be available to get you from Charlottesville to and from the venue! There will be TWO pickups for the bus: 2:45 PM at the Holiday Inn Monticello parking lot 3:15 PM from the Hyatt Place hotel parking lot (on Bond Street near the Barracks Road shopping center) There will be two RETURN trips as well - if you wish to leave on the earlier side, one bus will leave Montfair around 9 PM, and the second bus will leave Montfair to return to the hotels when the party ends at 11 PM. **PLEASE NOTE THAT UBER/LYFT WILL NOT PICK UP AT THE VENUE - PLEASE TAKE THE BUS IF NOT DRIVING!** There is also ample parking on-site should you choose to (responsibly) drive yourself to and from the event. However, be aware that you will not have cell phone service AT the venue, but there is Wi-Fi, so you may wish to pull up directions while you are on-site and connected to Wi-Fi before you drive off!

What do I need to know about COVID and your wedding?

Answer

At this time, we look forward to celebrating with everyone who can make it! If you will not have received the COVID-19 vaccine, please obtain a negative COVID test **within 48 hours of the event** and plan to wear a mask throughout the evening, including ceremony and reception. Please send us a confirmation of your negative test result. Even if you are vaccinated, we encourage all guests to get a negative COVID test prior to the event and to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. Masks and ample hand sanitizer will be provided on-site.

Can I bring a date?

If there is a plus one indicated on your invitation, absolutely! If not, please just bring yourself. :)

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is dressy casual to semi-formal. Great options for outfits include sundresses, cocktail dresses, slacks and a button down, or a jacket and tie. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, so we recommend wearing shoes that are comfortable for walking around on grass and gravel!

Are kids invited?

Answer

As much as we love your kids, this is an adult-only event. We would be happy to connect you with babysitters in Charlottesville for the ceremony and reception should you wish to bring your whole family for the weekend.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

If you indicated in your RSVP that you have dietary needs, we have alerted the catering staff and your needs will be accommodated! For vegan and nut-free meals, please ask the catering staff, who will provide you with a specially plated meal accommodating your needs. There will be gluten-free and vegan desserts, as well!
