This old firehouse serves wood-fire pizzas and other Italian eats with an open kitchen & courtyard. It's where we had our first date and where we got engaged. Expect to fall in love--in more ways than one (like we did!).

Culmination is our go-to beer stop for a Saturday afternoon brew. Try the Phaedrus IPA—it’s one of the best in PDX.
This fish market has a small restaurant under the same roof. Yummy poke and oysters if you want freshly sourced seafood. We frequent Flying Fish after a beer or two at Culmination!
Aimsir is a micro-distillery featuring spirits and small plates. Go for the rose gin, stay for the cold brew bourbon. Mocktails too!
Don’t let the bar/tavern vibe fool you— Interurban has a fabulous food menu and an excellent whiskey and bourbon selection.
Did we already recommend ramen? Well here we are again. Give it a shot! It’s not your 99¢ version and worth the trip. Boxer is a quick stop in a fun district in Portland’s east side.
McMenamins is a Portland area staple and the Kennedy School is one of the coolest locations to grab a bite and have a drink. It’s built into an old elementary school and the various classrooms have been turned into mini-restaurants within the campus. Truly unique! The hotel has spa services and there’s a movie theater (in the old gymnasium) on site.
The Vancouver waterfront is a newly erected retail and dining destination on the WA side of the Columbia River. Twigs has incredible riverfront views and a wide menu. Win-win!

Thousands of books—new and used. This location spans a full city block and 5 floors. A true Portland staple!
The grotto is a nationally recognized catholic shrine and botanical garden. An accessible/light intensity hike is involved to view.
If you have the time to make it to the coast (hour+ drive), this little spot on Cannon Beach’s main drag has some incredible clam chowder and yummy fish and chips. We always make time for Bills!
That mountain in our backyard is Mt Hood and only about an hour from the city proper. It’s beautiful drive up to Mt Hood Brewing and a great way to experience the national forest’s beauty. If you keep heading up the road, you’ll run into Timberline which offers even more incredible sights & views!
Enso is an urban winery in SE Portland that offers old-world style wines that express both the moment they were created and the moment they’re enjoyed—time capsules. If you don’t have time to drive to wine country, Enso is a great option to taste your way through the PNW.
Laurelhurst is our favorite steakhouse. There’s a butcher counter on site, a great wine list, and incredible cuts. You won’t be disappointed!
Bend OR based 10 Barrel has a taproom in Portland’s popular Pearl District. They’re nationally recognized for a reason!
Doug Fir is straight out of the 60’s! It’s log cabin decor and eclectic menu will delight. Their downstairs area hosts concerts for a wide range of artists and music. Catch a show while you’re here and have a full Portland experience!
Up for a drive to wine country? Archery Summit is always one of our top recommendations. They have 6 vineyards across 120 acres and craft some of the PNW’s best Pinot Noirs.
Domaine Drouhin feels like stepping into another country. They’re a sprawling winery with a drop-dead gorgeous terrace with views of their entire estate. The wine is incredible and the elevated vibes are top notch. Soak it in!
Just go. Sit on the terrace, soak in the vineyards, and live your best life.
