Where will the ceremony and reception be held?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception (cocktail hour, dinner, dancing) will all be held at Castaway - Portland.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code is formal attire. We're looking forward to seeing all of our guests dressed up for our big day. Floor length, tea length, or midi formal dresses. Tuxes or suit and tie. No jeans, chinos, polos, work boots, or hats. The bridal party will be in hues of pink and purple.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is available parking at the venue and ample street parking in the surrounding blocks. We also recommend ride-share services, namely Lyft and Uber. Note, we do not recommend parking in the area overnight.

Will there be transportation to/from the wedding?

Answer

Transportation is not provided. We encourage you to use Uber, Lyft, traditional taxi, or public transportation to get to and from our event. Note, we do not recommend parking in the area overnight.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4:30pm promptly. Arrive 20-30 minutes early to park & find your seat inside.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Our planning accommodations only include those guests formally indicated on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus-one, they will appear with your name on your invite and RSVP. Thank you for understanding.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We have decided to keep our wedding ceremony, dinner, and reception an adult-only event with the exception of our immediate family. Your invitation includes your invited party. We love your little ones, but we encourage you to use the evening as a date night!

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes, we will have a hosted bar service. Selected cocktails, beer, wine, and a champagne toast are all on us. Soda and water will also be available. Cheers!

Will the wedding take place indoors or outside?

Answer

Our venue has a wide, indoor space that flows to an outdoor patio we plan to utilize throughout the evening. Portland weather is often variable in May, but if we're able, we plan to be outside for at least a portion of the evening. Fingers crossed for an outdoor cocktail hour!

Are there health requirements?

Answer

Be advised that some businesses and restaurants in Portland require proof of COVID-19 vaccination and/or face masks. The wedding venue does not require either.
