We are so excited to share this important moment in our lives with our closest family and friends. We are overjoyed with all of the love and support we continue to receive as we embark on the next chapter in our journey together. If you told us ten years ago that we would be getting married, we would have laughed. We did not have the first clue that a high school friendship would turn into a life long commitment. We met in late freshman year of high school when Anthony was Alyssa's brothers little league baseball coach. We started off as really close friends and decided to give the teenage relationship thing a try. That summer, Anthony sent a handwritten letter to Alyssa's house asking her to be his girlfriend. Alyssa said yes and the two have been together ever since. From Friday night high school football games under the lights to watch Anthony play to attending the same college to cozy nights in our first place together, our journey has always been one we knew was meant to be. We have been through many firsts and major life events together including high school graduation, passing of road tests, first legal drinks, first cars, first apartment, competitions, traveling to new places, award ceremonies, college graduation, adoption of two fur babies, new jobs, and so much more. Anthony always seemed to think that we would always be here. One of the most common phrases Anthony would tell his football coaches in high school pointing to Alyssa who was in the stands for every game was "one day I will marry that girl." Fast forward ten years later, he was right! It was truly love at first sight and we have loved every minute of our journey together. We cannot wait to see where our next adventure as a married couple will take us.

On our ninth dating anniversary, Anthony picked Alyssa up from school and took her for a weekend getaway to their favorite resort up in the mountains to celebrate. The weekend started off by relaxing with a drink overlooking the mountains at sunset after check-in, playing games, grabbing a bite to eat, and finishing the evening roasting marshmallows by the campfire under the stars while chatting with other guests. As the weekend continued, they took their annual trip up Mountain Washington and explored the local town. When they arrived back at the hotel, Anthony told Alyssa that he had a reservation for dinner, but that before dinner, they had an anniversary photoshoot to take at sunset. Little did Alyssa know that it would be a proposal photoshoot! The photographer had Anthony stand behind Alyssa to take some candid photos of him walking behind her to give her a hug and on the third time, Alyssa turned around to find Anthony down on one knee! Alyssa was completely overjoyed and truly stunned as Anthony had told her for months that they would not get engaged until the following year. They celebrated by taking some engagement photos at the resort, eating dinner in a quaint wine cellar restaurant, and sharing the news with all of their family and friends. Little did Alyssa know, everyone was in on this plan and had been holding onto the secret for weeks. When they got back to their room, there was chocolate covered strawberries and champagne waiting. They stayed up for hours on the porch watching the stars outside, enjoying drinks, and chatting about all the details leading up to that moment. Anthony and Alyssa enjoyed the rest of their weekend together soaking in the moments as a newly engaged couple with breakfast in bed overlooking the mountains, spending time in North Conway, and visits with family on their way home excited to start the next chapter of their journey!
