Summer was going for a long walk in her hometown with Aunt Colleen in late 2016, soon after Summer met Julian. Aunt Colleen has always advocated for making decisions from the gut and with the guidance of God. Their chat helped Summer discern that she had a special match in Julian.

Historically, starosti were the "yentes" of Ukrainian villages, the ones who inspire the match. We chose our elders because they played a role in our meeting and the budding of our early relationship. In the ceremony, they will act as our sponsors and examples for married life in the future. Steve was our first mutual friend - The reason that Julian and Summer met on Election Night 2016!

Summer's younger sister! When Julian came around to visit for the first time at the Fields household, Miya pointedly asked Summer "Is this your boo?" It was an unforgettable moment in the canon. She now calls him the "big bro" she never had.
