Kaanapali Beach is a 3-mile long beach with lots of resorts and beach activities. Many spots on the beach have surf board or stand-up paddle rentals and lessons, parasailing, and other activities.

Shopping, restaurants, and nightlife area in Lahaina town. There are also some parks, museums, and the famous Banyan Tree in downtown Lahaina.
Maui Brewing Co offers a brewery tour at their main location in Kihei (about 45 minutes from Kaanapali), or they have a restaurant and tasting room in Lahaina. They also brew sodas for the kids.
Sunrise at Haleakala is a popular attraction. To get access to the park at sunrise, you have to make a reservation on recreation.gov 60 days in advance. There are also tours that will take you up in a shuttle and then you bike-ride your way down the mountain. Many people suggest doing this your first day on Maui due to the time zone differences because shuttles pick up very early in the morning.
Rent a car or book a tour and spend a day driving to Hana. There are lots of hikes, waterfalls, fruit stands, and beaches to stop at along the way. There are also some great places to snorkel, so consider renting snorkel gear before heading out. This is a full day activity with lots of narrow and twisty roads, so start your trip early in order to return before dark.
Located across the street from Papakea Resort, Snorkel Bob's has snorkel rentals for weekly or daily rates if you want to get out and explore the reefs.
