Question

Is there transportation to the venue?

Answer

We plan on providing shuttles with pick-up and drop-off from Aston Papakea Resort for those staying at our recommended resorts, as well as Whaler's Village if you are staying elsewhere in Kaanapali. Pick-up times are TBD and will be shared as our wedding gets closer. Uber & Lyft are available but limited on Maui, and our venue is not near the center of town so it may be difficult to get a ride back after the wedding.

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

The venue has plenty of free parking for those who wish to drive themselves. Vehicles can be left overnight but must be picked up by 9AM the next day. If driving yourself, the venue is located directly across the highway from Leoda's Kitchen & Pie Shop.

What should I wear?

Answer

Resort wear. For Maui in the Summer, you can typically expect very warm days with a breeze in the afternoon/evening. Olowalu Plantation House is a completely outdoor venue with grass and paved stone grounds, so flats or sandals are recommended. Just be comfortable and ready to dance!

Is there a difference in booking through the resort website or VRBO?

Answer

If you book through the resort, you can use our group rates and you will just select the type of room you want. Some units at both resorts are privately owned, so you can also book those directly through owners on VRBO or AirBnB if you want to see the exact room, furnishings, and view you'll have. The rates may be different and may also have different fees. However, you'll still have access to the same resort amenities like the pools either way. Feel free to book whatever you prefer.

Where is the honeymoon?

Answer

After the wedding, we will spend another week in Hawaii to explore Kauai and the Big Island.
