What is the best area to stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in Quarteira or Vilamoura. That’s where most of the wedding weekend activities will be, and it’s also closest to the wedding shuttle service. Both areas have great beaches, lots of restaurants and bars, and plenty to do during the day and night. There are plenty of bus options from Faro Airport to the Quarteira area. Also, Uber and taxi services are available.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Guest shuttle provided! 🚌 We want everyone to be able to enjoy themselves, so there will be a bus shuttle service provided from "Terminal Rodoviário Quarteira". Link to Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bxddEt1sTLw31Xw16 Meet at 2:30PM. The shuttle will leave at 2:45PM. If you miss the shuttle, you will sadly need to make your own way there. Prefer to make your own way? - From Quarteira and Vilamoura, it takes about 1 hour (60 mins) to get to the wedding venue in Portimao via car on the A22 highway (no tolls). End of the night: Return bus shuttle service will be provided; buses will depart from the venue at 02:00 AM for "Terminal Rodoviário Quarteira" only.

What to expect at the venue?

The whole wedding will take place at Vau Terrace i.e. the ceremony, welcome reception, dinner and dancing. We have the whole place to ourselves! The venue offers a stunning cliff-top setting and panoramic ocean views. We will be high up for those that may suffer from a little bit of vertigo but don't worry, all safety measures are in place to make it fun for all.

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

Yes, there is some parking at the venue and on the adjacent road (public). Please consider that it is late spring and a Sunday in the Algarve so it may be busy. We recommend planning with some time in advance to ensure you find a space close by.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Beach semi-formal wedding attire We want everyone to feel good and be comfortable. Consider breathable fabrics, bright and/or light colours, and styles suitable for sand and coastal weddings. You will be outside 90% of the time! Hot during the day under the sun and cooler in the evening with a sea breeze. Consider bringing a light jacket/cardigan. AND don't forget your sunscreen (SPF). Wear comfortable shoes - there will be sand, artificial grass and tiled floors.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Temperatures: Daytime highs are comfortable, generally averaging around 24C (75F), but can reach up to 28C (82F). Nights are pleasantly cool, cooling to around 16C - 18C (60 - 64F). Wind & Humidity: A moderate, refreshing breeze is common, making the, at times, high temperatures more comfortable. Conditions: The weather is considered, on average, a 9 (Very High) on the UV index.

We'd love to have everyone there, but due to budget and venue capacity, we're keeping our guest list limited to those named on your invitations and the number allocated.

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

You know we both adore kids, and while we would love to have everyone together sharing in this special day, on this occasion we can only accommodate immediate family, godchildren and newborns. We are truly sorry for any incovenience caused by this. We hope that with the help of your family and friends or any babysitting arrangements can be made, that your will still be able to be with us.
