One night in January of 2012, we met at a (at the time) mutual friends house. I was home from college on Christmas break. I wasn't a fan of Zac the first night I met him. Him and I just didn't seem compatible as friends (or so I thought), we were very different. Fast forward to about 4 weeks later when I was heading back to college. We had become very good friends very quickly. He managed to win me over. Over the next 10 years, we kept in touch and formed a very close friendship. No matter how much time passed between when we would see or talk to each other, we always seemed to remain constants in each others lives. In the meantime, I had moved to Florida and Zac was actively trying to buy a house in PA. We knew we had feelings for each other but I was adamant I was never moving back and he was very vocal about how much he absolutely HATED Florida, thought it was the worst place in America and would never even visit let alone live there. So to be honest, I never in a million years thought we would ever date, let alone be getting married. Long story short, we fell in love somewhere along the way. July 2, 2022 Zac asked me to be his girlfriend. Between July and September, Zac visited Florida twice. Sept 25th, 2022 Zac moved to Florida. September 27th, 2022 we packed up our whole house in preparation for Hurricane Ian- what a welcome to Florida Zac got. We were very blessed and made it through. Between then and now, we have been on an incredible journey together. Not every day has been sunshine and rainbows, but you don't appreciate the sunshine as much without the storms right? We have enjoyed holidays together, forming new friendships, traveling and so many wonderful new experiences together. I even got Zac to like country music and love cats. He has gotten me to enjoy relaxing at home and sitting still for longer than 10 minutes. Building this life together has been our favorite adventure this far. On May 3, 2025 Zac proposed at Doc's Beach House. It was the most perfect proposal. It was incredibly meaningful and a night I will cherish for as long as I live. We cannot wait to get married and continue on this amazing journey together for the rest of our lives. With that being said, we wouldn't be who we are, and where we are, without all of you. So thanks for being apart of our lives, and our journeys. Thanks for all the love, advice, and support, and thanks for being apart of this special day and our next chapter. P.S. Zac loves Florida now too!
