When and where is the wedding taking place?
Answer
Both ceremony and reception are taking place at the Gold Hill Inn (401 Main Street, Boulder CO 80302) on Saturday, October 11, 2025. The festivities begin promptly at 4:30pm.

What's this about CU Boulder having a football game the same day?
Answer
It's true! So please give yourselves extra time to arrive. We'd recommend skipping 28th St, Arapahoe Ave or Broadway, and instead taking Baseline up to 9th St and 9th on over to Mapleton. Go Buffs.
Question
What's the dress code?
Answer
Festive: dresses, dressy jumpsuits, button-down shirts, slacks. We want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too tall or that button too tight, let it loose.

What weather should I expect?
Answer
Autumn in Colorado typically sunny and warm, though any weather is possible (there's a saying: 'If you don't like the weather, just wait 10 minutes.') Gold Hill is at 8000 feet elevation, so expect temperatures about 5-10 degrees cooler than Denver or Boulder. Also, once the sun goes down, temperatures can drop quickly. We recommend layers and sunscreen.

Will we be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Both! Should the weather bless us, the ceremony will be held outside. Dinner is planned for indoors.

Will transportation be provided?
Answer
We are not providing any formal transportation for the events. There is ample parking available in the lot east of the lodge and on the main street. Please be kind to our Gold Hill friends when parking on the street. THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE. Plan any taxi/rideshare transport home in advance.

May I bring a guest?
Answer
We are at capacity with our venue, which sadly means we are unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitations.

We have decided to keep our wedding events adults-only and appreciate your understanding.

What should I expect after the ceremony?
Answer
The revelry begins! Please enjoy some light snacks, drinks, games and each other's company while we take a few more photos with our families. We plan to join as quickly as possible. Dinner will be served around 6:30pm, with dancing and dessert around 8pm.

Will there be food or drinks?
Answer
Light snacks and refreshments will be available after the ceremony. Dinner will be served once we are all seated. Some time later in the night, cupcakes and cookies will appear. A cash bar will be available for alcoholic drinks. Please let us know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions with your RSVP.

Where do you recommend I stay?
Answer
We have a hotel block at the Hilton Garden Inn in Broomfield, so we recommend there! Please visit the Travel page to book directly. There are many hotel, bed and breakfast, and vacation rental options nearby in Boulder, Lafayette, Broomfield, or even Golden. CU Boulder is having a home football game the same day, so reserve your room early.

Is the Gold Hill Inn wheelchair accessible?
Answer
There are some lips between rooms in the Inn. There are no stairs to the boardwalk at the west side/near the beer garden.

How do I RSVP? And by when?
Answer
There's a page right here on this website for you to let us know your plans! Type in your name or search by your last name to find your invitation on our RSVP page. The deadline to respond is SEPTEMBER 1. If we have not received your response by the date, we assume you will not be joining us, and there will be neither a chair nor dinner set aside for you.

Is there cell service?
Answer
No. Nor wifi. We disappear for days into the wilderness without these tools by planning ahead. Please plan ahead as needed for this evening. We typically leave a map and due-back time with someone trustworthy, so they can send a search party if they don't hear from us.
