We are so excited to celebrate with you! Estes Park is a place that we both love, and we cannot wait to host our wedding here with family and friends. Aside from the main event on Sunday, we are looking forward to spending time throughout the weekend with so many people we love. There are events Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and tons of things to do in and around the beautiful town. We highly encourage you to join us for a weekend in the mountains and extend your trip! As September is peak season, we recommend that you book your lodging as soon as possible!

Sarah and Matt met in Washington, DC in early 2021. Initially, we were contained to our respective Covid bubbles, but after some great conversation, we made plans to meet up for a pandemic-friendly first date. Matt suggested meeting up on a Sunday in February completely unaware that it was Valentine's Day. Meanwhile, Sarah thought this would at least make for a good story and went along with it (and is very glad that she did!) With much of the city still shut down, we met at the Sculpture Garden downtown and went on a scenic walk around the National Mall. Matt had planned to cover some of his favorite hidden gems in DC, including Sarah’s favorite alley garden near the Hirshhorn Art Museum. Originally, the plan was to end the first date at the Botanic Gardens, but as we made our way downtown, we were stopped by a large fence from the aftermath of the January 6th insurrection blocking our way. While the first date didn't quite end as planned, the connection was made and we continued to explore parts of DC together. Things got more serious when we met each other's families for the first time. Sarah took Matt to Steamboat Springs in Colorado at the peak of Fall for a large family gathering, and Matt was quickly sold on the beauty of the mountains and Sarah's family. As we continued to spend time and travel together, we started talking more about what our future could look like and realized that we each wanted many of the same things in life. When Sarah's lease was up in the summer of 2022, it was a no-brainer for her and Eleanor, our very energetic pup, to move in with Matt. Wanting to finally finish our very first date, Matt proposed on March 25, 2023 at the Botanic Gardens surrounded by family and friends - Sarah was mostly (not) surprised. Three plus vali-versary's later and more than a dozen trips to Colorado, we couldn't be happier or more excited to be moving to Colorado and sharing some of the mountain magic with you for our wedding weekend!
