We have created a Google map for all of our out of town guests that’s shows restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, etc. that we would recommend in the Charlotte area. There are definitely plenty of good options besides what we marked, but use this as a starting point if you’re having trouble finding something.
Camp North End
Originally a Ford assembly plant, this 76-acre industrial complex is now a playground of food, retail, art, and entertainment for visitors of all ages.
U.S. National Whitewater Center
The Whitewater Center is perfect for some outdoor fun! This time of year there is ice skating, ziplines, hiking, ropes courses, and more!
The Mint Museum – Uptown
A great art museum. If you have time, visit the Randolph location as well!
Sleepy Poet Antique Mall
Prepare to spend hours going through tons of cool and unique items.
Optimist Hall
A large food hall with a few shops in an old mill. There’s something for everyone here.
NoDa
This is a cute neighborhood with plenty of shops and food to explore.
NASCAR Hall of Fame
Charlotte is widely considered to be the "birthplace" of NASCAR. This museum allows you to take an in depth look at the history and legends of the sport.
Biltmore
~2 hours away. This historic mansion and its grounds are a great experience if you want to take a day trip while you are in the area.
