Question

I'm coming from out of town. What should I do about transportation?

Answer

Depending on where you are coming from there are a lot of options! If you are close enough to drive, we recommend doing so to avoid additional costs. If you will be flying, we recommend renting a car for your travel around the area. Uber and Lyft are always readily available throughout Charlotte, but may be difficult and expensive for getting to and from the wedding venue in Salisbury.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. This typically means a suit and tie, a sports coat and dress pants, a stylish jumpsuit, or a knee-length/midi dress. Please feel free to express your personal style within the dress code. We only ask to please avoid casual pieces such as jeans.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors. The reception will be indoors primarily with outdoor spaces available for guest to mingle. We do have a rain plan in place if the weather does not allow for plan A. Note that after dark it can get chilly towards the end of November, so you may want to bring a sweater or jacket.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

We would recommend to try to get there a half hour early (3:00) just in case there is traffic on the way.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are on a tight budget and may not be able to extend a plus-one invite to everyone. Your invitation should clearly state if you may bring a plus-one. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us personally.

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Are children allowed?

Answer

This is not a child-free wedding, but we encourage you to take this as an opportunity to get a sitter and enjoy a night with just you and your significant other. Young children are not permitted at the ceremony to avoid any distractions. I will have a sitter at the venue to watch any young children during the ceremony.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at the venue for all the guests we have invited.

Is it okay to take pictures with my phone and camera during the ceremony?

Answer

We have hired a very good photographer to take pictures for us. We appreciate that you are excited enough to want to take pictures, but ask that you please refrain during the ceremony so that you can be present in the moment with us and do not block any pictures our photographer may be trying to get.
