Question

What about the Corona virus?

Answer

There are cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria. The fast actions of our government, however, results in a steady (instead of growing) number of cases and overall low hospitalisation and mortality rate. Until May 13th no Belgian or American citizen without long term residency can enter Bulgaria; restaurants and bars are closed, hotels are not receiving any guest. We hope everything will be back to normal before the wedding. As there is no way of knowing what to expect, and some of you already bought plane tickets and booked rooms, we will continue planning the wedding. We will update the answer to the COVID19 question on this page when there is more news. If we decide to postpone (min. 2-3 weeks before the wedding), we will contact each guest personally. If you are travelling to attend the wedding, we will be as flexible as possible. On the invitation the RSVP deadline says somewhere in May. If you would like to postpone your decision to attend, let us know and you can RSVP by the end of June.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please check the 'travel' page on the website! Text us if you can't find what you are looking for and we'll be happy to help!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Guests who are not staying at Hotel Orbita can use the Blagoevgrad taxi services. Please bear in mind that we are asking one person to be available for our guests that night, so you might have to wait a couple of minutes if a lot of guests are leaving at the same time. The prices should vary between 2.5 and 5 EUR, depending on where you want to go.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If the invitation is on your name and your partner's, we would love to welcome you both on our wedding day! If it is only addressed to you, but you would like to bring someone, please text us and we will try our best to reserve a spot for your +1!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We will add the timing details to our invitations. A few weeks before the wedding, a section will appear on this website as well with the schedule of the day.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No. You can wear whatever you want; keep in mind that it will be very warm. If you're interested in what colors would be nice: the bride will be in white, the groomsmen and bridesmaids will be in Burgundy / with Burgundy detail. It would be nice for them to stand out from the rest.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Due to the number of guests, we can only give you a couple of food choices (non-veggie/veggie). However, if you have any food allergies, please let us know so we can inform the chef and we can avoid sending you to the hospital during dinner!

Question

I want to stay at the hotel of the wedding celebration, how can I make the reservation?

Answer

The entire hotel is booked for us, which means all internet sites will show the hotel as completely full. However, there are enough rooms available. Let us know through mail or the RSVP section which nights and with how many people you would like to stay, and we will make a reservation in your name. Add your e-mail address in the RSVP section, so we can send you the booking confirmation.

Question

What's the weather like and what clothes should I bring?

Answer

Hot. Very hot. Temperatures can be up to 40 degrees Celsius and the chances of 'full sun - no clouds' are very high. Bring light clothes. Even in the evenings you might not need an extra layer of clothing.

Question

What kind of gift should I bring?

Answer

You can find more information about this under the 'registry' tab.
