Charleston International Aiport

There are several other airport options if you don't mind a mini drive (Charlotte, Hilton Head, and Myrtle Beach Airports are all drivable), however the Charleston airport is only a short 20 minute drive into town.

Travel Note

Driving

We love to drive to Charleston from Tampa. The drive flows easily (especially for Steph who sleeps the whole time) and has gorgeous views of the southern low country's lush and marshy tidal waters and waterways.

House Or Rental

Folly Beach

We rented a beach house on Folly Beach, about 25 minutes from Downtown Charleston and 40 minutes from the wedding venue. Avocet properties helped us find ours, and if you're interested in being close by or renting a house alongside us, please let us know. Some of the options are also pet friendly and folly beach has lots of little restaurants, bars, music, and surf.

Hotel

Hotels & Inns

Charleston knows how to do southern hospitality at it's finest, and has tons of little inns, hotels, and resorts to stay at. We love the Palmer's Pinckney Inn, Zero George, The Vendue, and more downtown, Middleton Inn for something gorgeous and modern just down the road from the venue, and there are several affordable and beautiful hotels right across the bridges from downtown, usually about a 10 minute drive from downtown's center.
