And so, the adventure begins...

Flight

Naples or Rome

If you are renting a car, we recommend flying into Naples. Amalfi is an easy 1 hour 15 minute drive from Naples airport. If you are going by public transportation, the route from Naples or Rome to Amalfi is the same (from Naples it is 2 hours 15 minutes of train + bus time, from Rome 3.5 hours). From either Naples or Rome, take the regional Trenitalia train to Salerno OR Vietre Sul Mare, then the 5120 bus to Amalfi. Book the regional trains in advance, build in LOTS of extra time as the bus goes only once per hour.

Travel Note

Ferry from Naples to Amalfi

One way to get from Naples to Amalfi is by ferry. Ferries go 4 times per day and depart from the port of Naples. The journey is between 1 hour 15 minutes and 2 hours (depending on the company) and costs 20 - 28 euros one way. Book your ticket on ferryhopper.com in advance (tickets can also be bought in person at the port, but this will require waiting in line). Please remind that there apply specific regulations for your luggage depending on the company you choose.

House Or Rental

Recommended Accommodation for Wedding Days

We highly recommend that guests stay in the Amalfi area from August 2 - 6 for ease of getting to the wedding events. Traveling by bus along the coast can be slow and time-consuming. There is a private shuttle to brings guests home after the wedding (see private shuttle section below). When seeking accommodation, find a place walking distance to a bus stop if you are not renting a car. Also keep in mind that many places include many stairs to get to the entrance of the hotel. Please click below for a list of suggested accommodations.

Shuttle

Private Shuttle

August 5, 2023 12:00 am - 2:00 am

For guests who stay within a 15 minute drive of the wedding location, there will be a private shuttle to take you home after the wedding. For guests staying further away, you can pay a small fee to the shuttle driver to get home.

Travel Note

There is no Uber!

If you've had the thought "we'll just grab an Uber...", best to leave it at the door when you enter the Amalfi Coast! There is no Uber and taxis are expensive tourist traps. Please see FAQs for advice on how to get around Amalfi.
