Yes. However, we want our single guests to know that we are expecting lots of lovely and eligible singles to attend the wedding (wink, wink), so please do not think that you’ll be lonely or bored if you do not bring a plus-one. If you are a single guest and you are interested in sharing a room with another single guest, we’d be happy to put you in touch with other single guests so that you can coordinate accordingly. (Please note, however, that room rates are per person, and our room block includes discounted single occupancy rates.)
No. Although Hotel Xcaret is a family-friendly resort and we encourage guests to turn their trip to Mexico into a family vacation, we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding events on October 8th due to venue size and budget constraints. Guests traveling with children will be able to take advantage of the hotel's kids and teens clubs, as well as the ability to reserve a private babysitter through the Hotel (see: https://babysitting.com.mx/; https://itzafamilything.com/hotel-xcaret-young-kids/).
Yes. Because our wedding will entail a gathering of several folks from several households, we must require that all wedding guests be fully vaccinated (including all booster shots recommended by the CDC through September 2022). Additionally, we will also require all guests to take a rapid test and show a negative result before the wedding. It deeply saddens us that this requirement might make attendance at our wedding impossible for some, but we do not want to endanger the lives of those we love best in the world. Thank you for your generosity and kindness as we do our best to start our marriage while also prioritizing health, safety, and joy.
Yes! Travel to Mexico from the U.S. requires a passport book that is valid for at least 6 months past the date you arrive in Mexico. If you do not have a passport, or your passport will expire before April or May 2023, please be sure to get/renew your passport ASAP because it can take several weeks to process your passport application. Here is a link to the U.S. State Department's passport website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html.
Although we kindly request that all guests RSVP as soon as possible through this website, we will ultimately confirm wedding attendees based on the deposit and total room balance fees paid according to the payment schedule below: February 1, 2022: Deadline to pay $50 deposit per adult, plus optional travel insurance. April 1, 2022: Deadline to pay 50% of total room balance (includes initial deposit). July 15, 2022: Deadline to pay balance of room reservation total. *Payments can be made at www.timefortravel.com. *To avoid penalty fees, we will have to release any rooms in our room block that are not reserved by guests according to the above payment schedule. We cannot guarantee that rooms will be available, let alone at the discounted room block rates, for guests who book their hotel accommodations after the above-referenced deadlines.
For our wedding events on October 8, 2022, we kindly request that guests dress in "Beach/Resort Elegant" attire: semi-formal light fabric dresses/sundresses, sandals, wedges, block heels; linen/light fabric pants (with or without a blazer), short-sleeved button downs (no ties required). *The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and part of the reception space will be on sand, so feel free to bring flat sandals or flip flops to change into.
