We are so grateful to have found each other in the fall of 2019 . . . on Tinder of all places! After swiping right and discovering that Felicia used to live in same Washington, D.C. neighborhood where Ja grew up, we had our first date at the Hip Hop Juice Box in Emeryville, CA. We took our time getting to know each other (due in part to Felicia's then-insane work travel schedule) and learning about all the things we have in common, as well as the extent to which our values and life goals align. Luckily for us, we knew we were meant to be together by the time the Covid pandemic descended upon us in early March 2020. Since then, we have enjoyed the journey of merging our lives together and expanding our family, which includes our twins, August Maximus and June Aurelia (born on May 3), and our beloved and rambunctious Rottweiler, Jax.
