Casual spot, best breakfast burrito in town, across from W.
The go-to breakfast & after-dinner spot in town! Favorite muffin is the morning glory and favorite ice cream flavor is the blue cookie muncher.
Lunch spot: great for grab-and-go options like wraps and salads. Cash only. Worth the wait!
Another grab-and-go lunch spot for sandwiches. Call ahead!
Casual organic food. Madison loves the salad bowls. Douglas loves the meatless Monday meatloaf.
One of our favorite activities in the area is to rent bikes and to ride to Woody Creek. Johnny Depp and Hunter S. Thompson wrote the movie "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" in the corner booth. Great place for nachos and a margarita.
Dinner or lunch with an outdoor seating option. No bad menu item. Favorites for lunch include the vietnamese chicken noodle salad (what dreams are made of, yes seriously.) For dinner, get any of the boards, you will not regret it.
Go here for happy hour for half priced martinis and $14 hamburger! PS get the fries and coleslaw. Doug slams the oysters here!
Visit the inner courtyard at 5pm for a free, daily champagne sabering at 5pm. The St. Regis is also a great place to sneak in for complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, and tea in the morning (and if you are Grady a great place to have an accident in the lobby).
Hillstone group restaurant, one of our favorites in town. Doug loves the fish sandwhich but they sometimes run out.
Our favorite in-town hike! Expect one mile of intense uphill switchbacks, but the view at the top makes it all worth it.
Generally considered a moderately challenging route, Smuggler takes an average of 1 h min to reach the top. This is a very popular trail for hiking, road biking, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. Keep your dogs on a leash to avoid a fine.
Madison's favorite yoga place in Aspen. The view is everything. Secret, this yoga studio used to be McDonald's!
Another great yoga studio in town! Their the BODYalive class is a fusion of dance and yoga (a favorite of the family).
If "hole in the wall" is a phrase you can use to describe a massage place, A1 certainly qualifies. It doesn't look like anything special from the outside (or the inside, really), but the reflexology foot massages here are just what the doctor ordered after a long day with your feet jammed into stiff, ice-cold ski boots. Everyone goes here and spots book up fast, so make a reservation during breakfast.
Great walking trail from downtown Aspen all the way to Woody Creek and Basalt
