Douglas and Madison's story started in the tropical paradise of Aku Aku, a tiki bar in Orlando. Their second date was at a French Café on Park Avenue in Winter Park, a foreshadowing of a country that would become important to them. Before long, Douglas and Madison became inseparable, spending all their time together and falling in love. When Madison enrolled at the University of Central Florida Medical School, Douglas and Madison began a new journey in Lake Nona, Florida. Despite the time constraints and demanding workload of medical school, they found ways to grow together and embrace the new community. They won championships at the local F45 gym, raised important political issues to local media, and built a community in Landon House, their apartment complex next to UCF. As with everyone, Covid-19 had a significant impact on their lives. Douglas and Madison spent much of the summer of 2020 in Aspen, Colorado. They enjoy hiking, Paradise Bakery, restaurant scene, and learning to suture poolside at the St. Regis Hotel. After Madison finished medical school, she began her general surgery residency at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City and Douglas took on an investment management role at a French insurance company. During the despite demanding professional pursuits, trips to Aspen have been an escape and a place to create special memories for Douglas and Madison, we welcome you to enjoy our paradise with us.

Aspen has become such a special place for Douglas and Madison. They spent so much time here on vacation and during the pandemic. Checking off all the hikes this town has to offer while dining in some of the world's best restaurants. Not to mention the shopping (when we find a great sale)! Simply nothing better than the crisp mountain air, freshly-baked muffins, and cappuccino while taking a stroll through town.

Douglas was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and grew up in Naples and Orlando, Florida. Madison was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. The couple has lived in New York City for the past 1.5 years.

The couple got engaged on March 12, 2022 at the Jack Shainman Gallery in Chelsea. The couple has enjoyed their long engagement building their new life in NYC together.
