Are there any events happening downtown that I should be aware of?

Answer

Yes, the Indy 500 Mini-Marathon takes place downtown the morning of our wedding and basically kicks off the hype for the Indy 500 at the end of May. It's a big event and could impact some hotel availability. You should also expect to see some road closures downtown the night before and morning of.

Are you hosting welcome drinks on Friday night?

Answer

Of course! Come get the celebrations started with us at Pivot Bar & Balcony starting at 8pm. It’s on the 2nd Floor of the Hyatt Place Indianapolis/Downtown.

Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all take place at Mavris Arts & Event Center. The ceremony and reception will be held indoors but the rooftop and side garden will be open if the weather allows.

What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 4:30pm. We ask our guests to arrive at the venue at or around 3:45pm. Champagne & water will be served in the 1st floor gallery upon arrival until you are ushered to the 2nd floor at 4:20pm for the ceremony. If you arrive late, you will be asked to wait in the 1st floor gallery until the ceremony is over and then you will be ushered to the 3rd floor for Cocktail Hour.

Where can I park?

Answer

Guests can park for free in the venue's parking lot at the corner of East St & Maryland St, next to the overpass. If the parking lot is full, you can take advantage of one of the nearby pay-by-hour parking garages or you can utilize our Lyft voucher (active starting Friday evening on May 1st) to catch a ride to the venue on us! Check out the Accommodations section for how to redeem our Lyft voucher.

What is the dress code?

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day and wear cocktail attire. No jeans or khakis please!

Can I bring my child(ren)?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, this will be an adult only affair. The only children who we are requesting to be in attendance are our nieces and nephews. We appreciate you making arrangements for childcare ahead of time!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If we have extended a plus one to you, it will be indicated on your formal invitation. We would love for our wedding to be an intimate event with our closest friends & family. Thank you for understanding!

Have you reserved hotel room blocks?

Answer

Yes, a limited number of rooms have been blocked for our out of town guests at two hotels. You can find reservation information under the "Accommodations" section of our website. Just know that you have to book by a certain date to take advantage of our discount! If you are unable to book a discounted room through our room block, there are a number of hotels within walking distance or a couple minute Lyft/Uber ride from the venue.

Will there be an open bar?

ABSOLUTELY, YES. The drinks are on us but PLEASE take care of your bartender!!! The bars will have a QR code to tip via Venmo or Cash app. You can also leave a cash tip.

What time does cocktail hour start?

Answer

Doors to cocktail hour will open at 5pm on the 3rd floor just adjacent to the ceremony hall. You can enjoy cocktails, mocktails, and small bites while mingling inside or outdoors on the rooftop deck! Cocktail hour will end at 6pm.

Doors to the reception hall on the 2nd floor will open at 6:00pm with dinner service starting around 6:30pm.

We will have three separate dinner stations where guests can serve themselves. Check out the menu below. All of my gorgeous bridesmaids will be wearing black.

What time does the bar close?

Answer

Very important detail. The bar closes 30 minutes prior to the end of the reception. PLEASE TIP YOUR BARTENDER.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

DUH. Join us at Dugout Bar just a few blocks down the street on Virginia Ave after the reception ends.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered with Zola, Crate & Barrel & Amazon. You can shop our Zola registry, and navigate to our Amazon and Crate & Barrel registries, by clicking the section titled REGISTRY.

Where should we bring or send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to give a gift from one of our registries, we are requesting that you please choose the option to have it shipped to our home address at checkout. A card box will be available in the venue’s lobby on the 1st floor prior to the start of the ceremony.

Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

All of our guests are invited to join us for welcome drinks the night before our wedding. Details will be available under the "Schedule" section of our website.
