Q&A's

If you have any other questions that are not listed below, please reach out to the Bride (217-308-2440) or the Groom (309-857-8938) or email at flinn22wedding@gmail.com.
Question

Will alcohol be provided?

Answer

Alcohol will not be provided at the reception. The venue does allow alcohol and you will be in charge of bringing your own drinks. Yes, Bring Your Own Beer, Liquor, Alcohol, Cocktails, Wine.... whatever you drink, you can bring!

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Please wear whatever you are comfortable in! The groom and his men will be in jeans, which means it's acceptable for guests to be in jeans as well. Our intended seating of choice will be hay bales with blankets or some type of covering, so please keep this in mind when choosing your outfit!

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking will be located in the front of the barn. There will be ropes with signs indicating where you can and can not park!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

When RSVPing, it will notify you of each person we have added to your party. If there are questions regarding you and a plus one, please reach out to the bride or groom.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be located behind the barn, on a hill to the right. It will be outdoors. Hay bales will be the seating of choice. The first three rows will be reserved for designated family. From there back, its up to you! The reception will be held indoors on the second floor of the barn. Restrooms are located on the first floor.

Question

How far away is lodging located?

Answer

The closest hotel/accommodations to the barn would be located in Beardstown. I will make it known that this accommodation is not recommended. The recommended hotels would be in Jacksonville, IL (South Jacksonville, IL) which is roughly a 30 minute drive (one way).

Question

What kind of food will be provided throughout the evening?

Answer

Dinner will be served as close to 5pm as possible which includes smoked brisket and pulled pork with a variety of sauce, hash-brown mashed cheesy potatoes, and baked beans. Hot dogs will be also available.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Yes, of course! Kids are allowed to be present during the entire evening. Please just ensure that they are well tended to and don't get overly tired.

Question

Will families be split up at tables?

Answer

There will be no seating chart for the reception. You are welcome to sit wherever pleases you. There will be RESERVED tables for immediate family of the bride and groom.
