Maid of Honor
My friendship with Meghan began almost eight years ago while serving tables together in Newport Beach. I don't remember exactly but, if I had to guess, I would bet we initially bonded over our shared love of good wine and late night Taco Bell. Little did I know then that not only would we become lifelong friends but she would also one day introduce me to my future husband. I like to think it was fate but the real truth is that Meg was so fed up with my taste in men that she took matters into her own hands. Everyone, especially my mother, is eternally grateful. Meg is not only the ultimate matchmaker but she's the best friend and MOH a girl could ask for. I couldn't do this without her and I know Josh is SO excited to be our third wheel for life!
Best Man
Zach first appeared when he bamboozled Josh by convincing him that living together as roommates on the Newport Peninsula would be a recipe for a successful 1L year at Chapman Law School. While Woodys, Blue Beet, and The District all did their best to sink these good looking and aspiring lads' aspirations, the two somehow managed to survive with their sanity and a newfound friendship. Considering how absolutely awful 99% of law students are, these two knew that that fate had intervened and they were destined to be lifelong brochachos. Josh hasn't received the Double Lifelong Household Ban that Zach's wife has imposed on many of the other friends, so I guess you can say things are going pretty well!

Jordan warmly welcomed me on the first day of my "big girl" job at Parcel Pending. Little did she know that sitting less than three feet away from me meant consistently talking me off some imaginary ledge. Lucky for me, I have yet to see one invoice for all of the therapy she has offered me over the years. She is my favorite Benihana date and I'm reminded of her unwavering support every time she lets me lie to the waiter about it being her birthday. I couldn't imagine the BIG day without her!
Groomsman
Timbo and Josh met at the University of Arizona and bonded over sports and a mutual disdain for the local authority's social scene encroachment. Some might even argue that Tim's early brushes with the law inspired Josh's legal career. Since college, and despite never having lived in the same city since, these guys always make time for one another. A true class act, well, until Manhattans are served, Tim has always been a stand up guy and family man.

It was Thanksgiving 2018 and Josh must have finally decided he liked me at least a little bit because I got the invite to join him in Agoura for my first Malter family holiday! Ali was home from New York and I had already thoroughly stalked her on Instagram, like any well-prepared new girlfriend would. She welcomed me with open arms and she's been nothing but supportive ever since. I used to tell people she was Josh's much cooler sister and now I get to tell everyone she's OUR much cooler sister!
Groomsman
Zack likes his whiskey cold and his women fast. And by fast, I mean they literally run from the train horn on his truck. Kaitlyn's brother has been warm and welcoming since Josh first arrived on the scene a few years back. He's an amazing guy who values his family and friends above all else. He is also never shy to remind Josh that he has a decent gun collection and is a straight shot.

Paulina and I have been friends since the 5th grade. If you ask her about the beginning of our decades-long friendship, she may use the word "bully" to describe me as a child. That argument is still unsettled (I prefer the word "opinionated") but it's also the only disagreement I can recall in our almost 20-year friendship. We've gone through every phase of life together. There is nothing she doesn't know about me, which means she is definitely not allowed to give a speech at the wedding.
Groomsman
Brendan is one of Josh's oldest mates, going back to the 4th grade. These two rascals would *67 their Willow crushes on the reg. Athletic competition was always fierce, with hockey being the main event. Unwilling to jointly identify the best player, it was established that Brendan championed the twisted-wrister and Josh the spicy, top-corn backhand. And ya, these skills earned the duo MANY 2nd and 3rd place finishes at tournaments. B also had a noteworthy goatee for a while, so please feel free to ask him about it.

Meeting Elyse was a major milestone in my relationship with Josh. We had just started dating and although I was ready for him to put a ring on it (when you know, you know), I would need the Smith's stamp of approval first. Elyse was welcoming from the start and I knew we were destined to be lifelong friends after finding out she also loves a good game of MASH. She is the kind of loyal, caring friend you want on your team and I am so lucky to have her on mine!

Trevor had the pleasure of meeting Josh at the University of Arizona. After cavorting around beautiful Tucson from somewhere between 4 and 6 years (who's counting anyway??) the guys reunited in Newport, eventually decided it was time to settle down, and proceeded to use their talents to find suitable mates. Trevor established a passion for over-serving Josh, Kaitlyn, and his beautiful wife Merritt. These frequent hangouts were a major catalyst in Josh and Kaitlyn's love story, which Kaitlyn swears still took Josh too long.
Bridesmaid
Established Halloween 2018. If it wasn't frowned upon, I'd ask her to wear the Pink Power Ranger costume she wore that night instead of a bridesmaid dress. Colleen is the life of every party, the ultimate hype woman, and one of my favorite travel partners, due in part to our shared love of airport cocktails and her tendency to bring, literally, everything. At the wedding, you'll find her at the bar pouring vodka shots for everyone. You've been warned!
Groomsman
While this knucklehead's mass has steadily decreased since he and Josh became friends, thankfully, his heart has grown. Their friendship was forged in Vail some 12 years ago when both had a ski pass and nothing else. Well, Josh had nothing else. After too many trips, sporting events, and concerts to count, Mike finally conceded to both Josh's awesomeness and his invitation to slow life down in Orange County. Since Mike moved south of the Orange Curtain, his life is so much better (he met Colleen) and has Josh to thank for that.
Officiant
Joe Stapleton is a man of the people, for the people, and does it all with some exceptionally defined calves. He does more work in a day by 6:00 AM, than most do in a week. Joe has been a remarkable friend to both Kaitlyn and Josh and he has beach parking, which has undoubtedly strengthened the trio's bond. Joe has known the insanely good looking couple since they first begin to flourish and has helped foster their love and growth. When considering who should officiate this event, there was no better option!
