Josh and Kaitlyn’s love story really depends on who you ask. If you ask Josh, he’ll probably tell you that it was a lot like Point Break (1991) where he was a young, extremely charming, hotshot detective fresh on the beat trying to earn Kaitlyn’s love, the woman of his dreams, by taking down the most dangerous gang of bank robbers around, the Ex-Presidents. If you asked Kaitlyn, she would probably tell you that there was absolutely no parallel to Point Break, Josh was never a cop, and that Keanu Reeves is much better looking. But that’s because she just doesn’t get it. The truth is, their love story is probably somewhere in between, but closer to Josh’s recollection. Years back, on a sun-kissed Memorial Day weekend, Josh and Kaitlyn’s friends were scheming up something wonderful. The pair was unassumingly invited to what was supposed to be a day of charity work. Strangely, Josh was told that the local charities were all closed so the gathering was relocated to the Newport Peninsula. Over the next few hours Josh tried his best to capture this beauty’s attention. But for one reason or another, Kaitlyn pretended that she was unimpressed with Josh’s vast knowledge of Greek Mythology and the Peloponnesian Wars. His ego was wounded, but he didn’t lose focus. With some help from Stag Bar’s libations, Josh eventually persuaded Kaitlyn to go on a date with him. Josh was elated and riding cloud 9. To keep his head from getting too big was Josh only then was he told that he, in fact, was the day’s charity. The two became inseparable and started traveling the world. A couple short (according to Josh) or excruciatingly long (according Kaitlyn) years later, Josh asked Kaitlyn to marry him and she said YES!
