It was senior year at the Oceanside High School "Battle of the Classes" event. Steve's mom, Jane Ann Polidoro, pointed at Faye from the bleachers and said, "Steven, who is that girl? She's so cute!" (those of you who know Jane Ann know that it's unusual for her to not know somebody in Oceanside). Steve yelled "Faye, my mom thinks you're cute!". The seniors won, and afterward celebrated their victory at Spencer Kaminsky's mom's house. Kevin Carlock asked Steve if he knew which girls at the party were single. Steve wasn't sure, so Kevin blatently yelled out, "If you're single raise your hand!" A few girls, including Faye, shyly raised their hands. Steve was surprised, as he thought Faye had a boyfriend. But LUCKY for Steve, they had recently broken up! After a night of flirting back and forth, Joe Clark took Steve's phone and handed it to Faye. "Put your number in here", he said. The next day, Steve called and asked her out to dinner. And here we are, nearly 15 years later. Every person in this story played a pivitol role in the start of an amazing relationship. We cannot wait to celebrate our love story with you!
