Spring of freshman year at Penn State in 2016, Tapestry Dance Company was paired with Alpha Kappa Lambda for Penn State Homecoming the following year. To kick off the pairing, the two groups got together for a champagne brunch. Kelsey and CJ met while creating a large group chat amongst the 2 organizations. They became closer through the paired activities such as Homecoming and THON 2017. They finally decided to take their friendship up a notch and began having lunch together weekly (usually at Irving's at Penn State). In Spring of 2018, CJ built up the courage to try and step out of the "friend zone". They graduated together in 2019 and moved to NH. CJ supported Kelsey through her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. Once she finished, they moved to PA, and now they have an adorable Labrador Retriever, Maverick.
