Take a stroll on 3rd Street, starting at the train station. If you are hungry, stop into some of our favorites including Burger Local and Preservation. Graham's Chocolate Shop has some nice treats. And, if you're into a little shopping, check out the Little Traveler.
We've been here a few times and have always enjoyed walking around this beautiful public garden. It's about 30 minutes away from St. Charles by car. Plan to spend a couple of hours.
Corey worked for the minor league baseball team, the Kane County Cougars. They will be playing at home over the weekend. It's a fun laidback way to spend a few hours.
This is a pretty area for a walk. Or, grab a blanket and find a nice spot of grass and watch the Fox River flow by. If you want to do a picnic, pick-up a sandwich from Smitty's On the Corner (15 E. Main Street) and then walk 1/2 mile along the river to the park.
Want to head into Chicago without worrying about a car? Head to the Geneva train station and hop aboard one of the Union Pacific West Metra trains into the city. Plan ahead!
If you want to get some steps in and enjoy some fresh air, hop on the Fox River Trail which runs along side the Fox River in St Charles. You can go south from St Charles to Geneva and on to Batavia, or go north to South Elgin. It's a really pretty trail.
