The Wedding Website of Fatima Ferreira and Eric Martinez
Welcome to Brasil. Here are some ideas of things to do. Three major cities are Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Salvador. For a 2-3 day visit Rio is a better place to see the major attractions. You have Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf, Escadaria Selaron, and of course the beaches. As one of the larger cities in the world, Sao Paulo is attractive too in its own way. Great Food, Markets, Shopping, Art and Home to Fatima. The only city to have a direct flight to Porto Seguro. The original capital of Brasil is Salvador, has more of a vibrant feeling. Well mixed to offer plenty of different cultures. Amazing beaches with music & dancing. Or skip all three and go direct to Arraial d'Ajuda. Arraial is a small town, originally a settlers location that has become a tourist destination with numerous activities. Brasil is an amazing place and can go anywhere and see beauty. We been blessed to have the opportunity to explore here together.

Flight

Your Travel to Brasil

Find a long layover in a foreign country. Still have options. See a different city to pass time. Check with airport customs if you need a day visa. Can purchase them there if required. Check with your airlines to see if you can buy a lounge pass. Stay away from the crowds. Free food, Drinks, WiFi, A/C and possibly a Shower. Major airports in Brasil are Sao Paulo (GRU), Rio De Janeiro (GIG), and Salvador (SSA). Major airlines are American, United, Delta. Avianca is a foreign airline I enjoyed.

Flight

Porto Seguro Airport (BPS)

Only direct flight into Porto Seguro (BPS) is from Sao Paulo (GRU). Most all other airports will have one layover to Porto Seguro. Best domestic airline options in Brasil to travel are Gol, Latam, or Azul. Each major city has smaller domestic airports. You have two options to get to Arraial d'Ajuda from the airport. First, taxi from the airport. No Uber but larger cities do. Will need money. Taxi will cross the river by ferry. Then drive you to your place. Easiest option. Around $35. Second is taxi to the river and cross by ferry as a pedestrian. Will need to buy a ticket at the booth when you get to the river. Then bus/taxi from the other side. Around $15.
