Flight
Find a long layover in a foreign country. Still have options. See a different city to pass time. Check with airport customs if you need a day visa. Can purchase them there if required. Check with your airlines to see if you can buy a lounge pass. Stay away from the crowds. Free food, Drinks, WiFi, A/C and possibly a Shower. Major airports in Brasil are Sao Paulo (GRU), Rio De Janeiro (GIG), and Salvador (SSA). Major airlines are American, United, Delta. Avianca is a foreign airline I enjoyed.
Flight
Only direct flight into Porto Seguro (BPS) is from Sao Paulo (GRU). Most all other airports will have one layover to Porto Seguro. Best domestic airline options in Brasil to travel are Gol, Latam, or Azul. Each major city has smaller domestic airports. You have two options to get to Arraial d'Ajuda from the airport. First, taxi from the airport. No Uber but larger cities do. Will need money. Taxi will cross the river by ferry. Then drive you to your place. Easiest option. Around $35. Second is taxi to the river and cross by ferry as a pedestrian. Will need to buy a ticket at the booth when you get to the river. Then bus/taxi from the other side. Around $15.
Hotel
A few places down from the wedding venue on the water. Has an attached restaurant with friendly staff.
Hotel
Great location on a hill. From the front you have ocean view. Next to the Historical Center. Brewery and bus stop too. Set of stairs that leads to the beach. Didn't stay here but on the same street.

Airbnb. Have used it at many times. Always a good experience. Pick what makes you most comfortable. Lots of Filters. Could be good options for Groups and Families.
