From an early age, Jim taught Rob how to do things for himself - how to tie his first fishing knot (which he still uses today), how to play catch, how to mow the lawn, and how to approach life with independence and confidence. Many of the skills Rob carries with him today began with Jim’s patience, guidance, and example. Jim always seems to have a project in progress and a way of making something meaningful out of what others might overlook - a trait that extends far beyond woodworking. He taught Rob not just how to do things, but how to be himself. He has also achieved a level of consistency and refinement with his daily combo of Mount Gay & Coke that can only be described as aspirational.
