FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

For the ceremony, we recommend resort casual attire - comfortable, polished, and appropriate for an outdoor Florida setting. Think light fabrics, relaxed silhouettes, and shoes you can comfortably walk in. The goal is to look great and feel good.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and celebration will take place outdoors in the courtyard. Florida weather is usually amazing in October, but we recommend dressing comfortably for warm days and mild evenings.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, but getting around Fort Lauderdale is easy. Guests are welcome to drive, use rideshare services like Uber or Lyft, or take advantage of LauderGO!, a free public shuttle service that operates throughout the area.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We won’t be offering a hotel room block for the weekend. Guests are encouraged to choose accommodations that best fit their plans - whether that’s nearby, near the beach, or with family. A handful of friends and family will be staying at Freedom House, and will not need additional lodging unless they want to extend their stay in the area. Check out the Accommodations page for suggested areas to stay.

Question

What kind of weather should I expect?

Answer

Late October in Fort Lauderdale is typically warm and pleasant. Expect daytime temperatures in the mid-to-upper 70s, with evenings cooling slightly. It’s still Florida, so light humidity is possible, and a brief rain shower can happen - but it usually passes quickly. We recommend breathable fabrics, sun protection during the day, and a light layer for the evening.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Plus ones are listed on your invitation. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out to us directly.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this celebration will be an adults-only event. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy a night off!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

For the ceremony: Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to get settled and find your seat. For the long weekend: just send us a text and come on by! We only ask for a heads up in case we are galivanting around Fort Lauderdale and enjoying the breweries :)

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes - parking is available both at the front of the property, as well as in a nearby parking deck.

Question

Will Skip be there?

Answer

Yes. Skip will be present and proudly escorting the bride down the aisle. He will also be supervising general vibes, monitoring snack availability, and assessing turf conditions.

Question

Who should I contact with questions?

Answer

Faith and Rob, of course!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We aren’t planning to hire a professional photographer, so we’d truly love for you to take photos and share them with us. That said, we also hope everyone will stay present and enjoy the moment with us. Feel free to snap a few photos, then sit back, relax, and soak it all in. We’ll share details after the wedding on how to send or upload your favorites.
