How We Met

8/12/19

We first met on the first day of school, our freshman year in Mr. Bashaw's Algebra 1 class. We were assigned to sit next to each other, and from there we became quick friends. Noah definitely got me through math class because if anyone knows me, they know I'm not good at math; he always either let me copy him or just help me figure out the question. At the time, I just thought he was being nice, but looking back now, I guess he was just sweet on me. I definitely had a little crush on him too, and we flirted with each other, but I was just being a dumb high school girl and didn't really care to date anyone, and Noah was being a good friend because at one point I was "talking" to one of his friends and he didn't want to ask me out because of that. So long story short, nothing ever happened, but one of our friends at our table in Mr. Bashaw's class always said that we would end up together and that he thought we would be a really good couple (I guess he was right). But then COVID hit, and we weren't at school anymore, so we were only talking to each other here and there. Then the school year ended, and we didn't talk to each other all summer. Then came sophomore year. There he was, the first day and first period class again, but this time in Ms. Lundberg's Chemistry of Foods class. I got so nervous when I walked in and saw him that I sat on the complete opposite side of the room, but he still saw me, and he came and sat down next to me. There isn't a day after that that we stopped talking. So even though it took him 2 months to ask me out after that, we've been together for over 5 years, lived together for 2 years, and have our dog Millie together for almost 2 years.
