Most people think we met in college through mutual friends… and honestly, we thought that too. But the truth is, we actually met way back when we were kids. Matt’s best friend lived next door to Faith, so from ages 5–9 we were running around playing capture the flag, Faith probably crying a lot, and having no idea we’d end up here someday. Fast forward a bit, after COVID we crossed paths again through friends, and it just felt like one of those invisible string moments. Matt instantly stood out as one of the kindest guys. When he told Faith he worked at a plant store just so his mom can get a discount on plants, she thought that was the cutest thing ever. From there, things started to grow (pun intended). Two weeks in, Matt somehow ended up meeting Faith’s mom, where Faith almost made him choke on banana bread. To be fair, it was one of Faith’s “healthy” experiments… and let’s just say flour has been a permanent fixture in the recipe ever since. When Matt officially asked Faith out, we spent the day at the zoo, where he bought her a stuffed seal named Stanley (yes, she still has him). Later that night in Bay Village, underneath the stars, Matt finally asked, “Do you want to be my girlfriend?” after Faith had already popped the very important question earlier over Jimmy John’s: “Sooo… are we actually going to date or no?” And here we are now, getting married. We wouldn’t change a thing about how it all happened.
