Where is the ceremony and reception?

The ceremony and reception will take place at the Maine of Williamsburg located at 2580 John Tyler Hwy, Williamsburg Virginia.

What is the parking situation?

Answer

The Maine offers plenty of parking, however, we would like all of our guests to be safe leaving the venue at the end of the night. This means guests, if they prefer, may choose to use a rideshare service to leave the venue, and keep their vehicles at the venue overnight. The Maine is gated and will be locked for safety after the event concludes. Guests can return to pick up their vehicles on Sunday between 9:00am and 11:00am. No cars may remain on site past 11:00am the following day.

Will you provide transportation to the venue?

Answer

We will not be offering private transportation to or from the venue. However, as noted above, there is plenty of parking at the venue and rideshare services available in the area. Carpooling with those that will not be taking advantage of the bar is also encouraged; especially since Ubers/Lyfts can sometimes not be readily available.

What is the attire?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal or cocktail attire.

May children attend the wedding?

Answer

While we love children, we kindly request an adults only reception, unless specifically indicated to you otherwise by the couple. The perfect excuse to enjoy a night away from the kids and celebrate! Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

All parties named on the invitation are invited to the wedding. In addition, for those who may want to bring a plus-one, please check inside your invitation for a plus-one card informing you that you may bring a guest! If you do not have a plus-one card included in your invite, we would love to have you there but no other guest brought. We need to make sure we have an accurate account of guests for all of our amazing vendors!

What is the wedding timeline?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at the venue no earlier than 4:00pm and no later than 4:15pm. We kindly ask that all guests be seated by 4:25pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30pm. Cocktail hour will begin at 5:00pm outside under the porch. Following cocktail hour, we will move inside to the reception space. Dinner will begin at approximately 6:30pm. Finally, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm we plan to dance the night away and enjoy some other fun surprises. The bar will stop serving drinks at 9:30pm. At 9:45pm, we ask all remaining guests to join us outside under the porch to participate in our grand send-off! All guests must exit the venue by 10:00pm.

When should we book our hotel?

Answer

June is high season for Williamsburg. Book your accommodations as soon as possible. The deadline to register using the wedding block at the Williamsburg Lodge is May 18, 2025.
