Head of Animal Relations and Welfair
We often joke that Billy is the mob boss in our house. She was the first of many animals we bought together. Billy was Jack's Valentine's gift to Faith in February 2020 because she was 10,000 times more resistant to cancer than humans and axolotls are very resilient creatures. While axolotls can regrow any part of their body they are also incredibly sensitive animals that must have perfect water quality conditions to continue living. Through no small feat Billy will be celebrating her 5th birthday with us this February.
King of Sass and Spite
Oliver was the first horse we bought together. Oliver came to us underweight and shy from an equine rescue where he had been dropped off due to his old age. While he was supposed to be Faith's primary riding horse, Oliver and Jack bonded so well and it was clear to everyone that Oliver was Jack's horse. Oliver is currently our best trained animal but worst behaving animal. He now sits at about 50 pounds over weight and is old and grouchy. He still loves racing his brother and exploring the trails.
The Archduke of Anxiety
Archer came to us from a 4H rescue in New Hampshire. They rescued him from a auction with severe leg wounds. Archer was previously an Amish cart horse that had been hit by a car. Luckily the rescue was able to patch up his physical wounds and we have slowly been working to repair his mental wounds. Archer is still very nervous about everything but is growing braver everyday. He now goes trail riding just about everywhere and greatly enjoys exploring with his brother.
Senator Snuggle Bug
Wally is a more recent addition to our family. We rescued him from the streets of Ithaca after we could not find him an owner. It is so hard to imagine him living outside now. He is the sweetest and most snuggly cat ever. He actually runs away from the door opening and has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving.
Captain of the Brain Cell
August is our most recent addition. We inherited him from a family member, and he is the most special guy. August is a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepard and is about 100 pounds of love. August is not quite the sharpest tool in the shed but is so kind and gentle. He loves to love and we think he is the best addition to our family.
