FAQs

The Wedding Website of Faith Sikes and Darren Osborne
Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to ensure you’re seated and settled before the ceremony begins at 1:00pm.

Question

What is a Traditional Latin Mass?

Answer

The Traditional Latin Mass is a Catholic liturgy celebrated primarily in Latin, with an emphasis on reverence, prayer, and continuity with centuries of Church tradition. Our wedding Mass will be a Missa Cantata, meaning the prayers of the Mass are sung and accompanied by sacred music. During the Mass, the priest faces the altar, and there are moments of quiet prayer as well as chant and sung responses. Pew missals with Latin and English will be provided for those who wish to follow along; however, participating simply through a prayerful presence and reflection is also very welcome. For those who are curious, there are many helpful resources available online to learn more.

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding Mass will be indoors at St. Rita Catholic Church. However, our cocktail hour and wedding receptions will have indoor and outdoor options!
