In 1858, King Vittorio Emanuele II, the first King of unified Italy, fell deeply in love with Rosa Vercellana. As a gift of devotion, he gave her this land—the vineyards, the rolling hills, the future that would grow from it. Theirs was a love that did not follow tradition, but rather created its own path, writing its own story. Today, Fontanafredda stands as a testament to that love—a place where passion, dedication, and the courage to follow one’s heart became the foundation of something lasting.

This land is home to one of the most renowned wineries in Italy, where every bottle tells a story of patience, passion, and transformation—qualities that define both great wine and great love. Among its most celebrated wines is Barolo, often called "The King of Wines." A wine of depth and character, Barolo is bold, complex, and meant to age—becoming richer, fuller, and more refined with time. A vineyard must be nurtured, tended to, and trusted to grow at its own pace. A single harvest does not make a great wine—it is the years of sun and rain, the richness of the soil, and the hands that have cared for it season after season that transform it into something extraordinary.

We have always believed that places tell stories. But so does food. In Italy, a meal is never just a meal. It is an act of love, a gathering place, a way to bring people together. The cuisine of Piedmont is deeply tied to the land, the seasons, and the history of those who have cultivated it for generations. Every dish tells a story—one of tradition, patience, and the simple joys that make life meaningful.

Just as Villaggio Narrante carries the stories of its land and people, this weekend is a reflection of our own journey—the places that have shaped us, the paths we have traveled, and the people who have been part of it all. There is nothing more special than sharing this moment with all of you, in a place that embodies everything we believe in.

As we walk through the vineyards, raise our glasses, and dance together, we hope you feel what we do: This is a celebration of every path, every little moment that has brought us all here. Welcome to our wedding weekend.
