Question

Where and when is this wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be located at The Boulders at Black Canyon Inn. The address is 800 MacGregor Ave. Estes Park, CO 80517. The venue will open promptly at 4:30, with the ceremony beginning at 5! Please look under the “schedule” tab for a more detailed timeframe of the evening.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding is semi-formal (dresses, suits, or whatever makes you feel your best), and we’re asking guests to dress in fall-inspired colors - think rich browns, burnt orange, rust, olive green, deep plum, or warm neutrals. We’ll include swatches with our physical invitations to help guide your outfit choices. These tones will help create the cozy, autumnal atmosphere we’re dreaming of - so please, no neons or summery brights! Since it’s a mountain wedding in the fall, we also recommend bringing a jacket or layers - Estes Park evenings can get chilly, even after sunny afternoons.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors at The Boulders at Black Canyon Inn. However, if the weather cooperates, the ceremony space has accordion-style windows that will open so we can be partially outdoors- standing on the deck with the mountains behind us while guests remain comfortably inside. Cocktail hour will take place just downstairs on the outdoor deck next to the reception space, and there will also be a cozy patio area with fireplaces and lounge furniture available throughout the night (as long as the wind doesn’t get too wild!). So yes - mostly indoors, but with lots of chances to step outside and enjoy the view.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We’ve listed a few of our favorite lodging options on the Travel page to help get you started! Estes Park also has a wide variety of hotels, cabins, and Airbnbs - many of which are just a short drive from the venue. So don’t be shy about branching out beyond our suggestions if something else feels like a better fit. Just a heads-up: September is a popular time in Estes Park and places tend to book up quickly. The sooner you can snag your accommodations, the better!

Question

What’s the weather like in Estes Park in the fall?

Answer

September in Estes is stunning - think crisp mountain air, changing leaves, and golden sunlight. Daytime temperatures are usually in the 60s–70s, but evenings can cool down quickly (and sometimes surprisingly). Layers are a must! That said, Colorado weather is famously unpredictable. We recommend checking the forecast about a week before the wedding so you can pack accordingly - being prepared is always better than being chilly.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, but parking at the Black Canyon Inn’s venue is limited - so if you’re not staying on the property, we kindly recommend carpooling when possible. Signs will be posted to help guide you to the appropriate parking areas. Ceremony guest parking is available at the Boulders parking lot and the hotel parking lot up the hill. If those fill up, overflow parking is located near the entrance to the property at the bottom of the hill. There’s also a designated loading zone at the Boulders venue for guests needing accessibility accommodations, including wheelchairs and walkers.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If a plus-one is included, you’ll see their name on your invite. Thank you for understanding - we’re so excited to celebrate with the people who mean the most to us.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 1, 2026. We’ll need time to finalize food and seating details before the big day, so your timely response means the world to us. If we haven’t heard from you by then, we may reach out with a gentle nudge - thank you for helping us plan with love (and less stress)!

Question

What should we do in town?

Answer

Estes Park is one of our favorite places, and we’re so excited to share it with you! We've put together a list of our favorite spots and activities on the Things to Do page, so be sure to check it out and make the most of your time here!
