Travel Note
Location Information
Please note while you will fly into the capital city of Dublin, we live in Dundalk, County Louth- which is about an hour or so north of Dublin City! The wedding will also be held in County Louth, specifically Dunany, which is about a 20 minute drive from Dundalk. If you are looking to stay nearer the wedding, search for options in Louth. A few specific hotel recommendations are listed below!

Dublin airport is where you'll be initially flying to before departing to wherever you choose to stay. There are two terminals, and any number of further transportation options including car rental, taxi's, and endless public transportation options

100X Dublin to Dundalk
There is a bus from Dublin Airport to where we live in Dundalk, Co. Louth. This bus runs every hour from 6am to 12 midnight. You can pre-book tickets online, or they can be purchased from the driver on the bus with cash (euro) or card. The pick-up stop at the airport is Atrium Road, Zone 13, Stop 10, outside Terminal One. There is a storage area in the back for luggage.

Matthews Coach Bus
The Matthews bus runs between Dublin City Center, and Dundalk. The journey takes about an hour and 20 mins. There are two routes, one direct from Dublin to Dundalk, and one Dublin- Drogheda- Dundalk. Either is fine, the second one has more stops and the journey is about 20 mins longer. The bus runs often from every half hour to every hour. Timetables on the website. The pickup spot in Dublin is 'Cumberland Street North' (or also from 'Cathal Bruga Street' after 7pm). There are several stops in Dundalk town, but the main one is from the Marshes Shopping Center. Tickets can be purchased in cash from the bus driver or with a 'Leap' card- the Irish public transport card. You can buy a single- which is only one way, or a return journey, which is both there and back. Make sure you keep your ticket stub if you have purchased a return!

The Gateway Hotel is also about a 10 minute drive from the town center and is situated in a lovely 14 story building.

Glen Gat Guesthouse
If you prefer a cosier BnB type vibe, look no further than the Glen Gat geusthouse. Situated right in the town center, this stay is truly charming. Although keep in mind it tends to book up quickly!

Alternative Accommodation
Though we currently live in Dundalk, Co. Louth- you may choose to stay elsewhere! There are tons of options in Dublin city- or in nearby areas of County Louth. Including Blackrock, Co. Louth,- Carlingford, Co Louth- or Drogheda, Co. Louth. You can have a look on AirBnB, or Booking.com for further accommodation options! Just keep in mind how you will manage transportation, whether you choose to rent a car or need to rely only on public transport.

Wedding Day Travel/Accommodation
We are still sorting out the details on options for guests in terms of wedding day transport and accommodation. We are hoping to organize some shuttle options to and from the venue and hotels, depending on numbers and where people will be staying. There will be a certain amount of on-site accommodation for late and overnight staying guests and family, as well as options nearby the venue if you need to stay overnight after dancing the night away. There is also some parking at the venue if you choose to drive yourself. Further details to come on this matter closer to the wedding date!
