Travel Note

Traditional Ferry

You must travel by ferry or small plane to Block Island. The Traditional Ferry leaves from Point Judith, RI. It is about a 1 hour trip. If you are bringing your car over, you must make a reservation well in advance and come on the Traditional Ferry. You will have to call the ferry office to make a car reservation at (866) 783-7996 ext 3. It is about $100 round trip to bring your car. Cars are not required, it is a small island and rental bikes, mopeds, taxis and car rentals are available on-island. Passenger tickets can be purchased in person or in advance, and are abut $25 round trip.

Hi-Speed Ferry

The Hi-Speed Ferry also leaves out of Point Judith, RI, but is only a 30 minute trip. The Hi-Speed Ferry is passenger only, meaning no vehicles. Tickets are about $57 round trip.

Flight

Block Island Airlines

There is a small plane that flies from Westerly, RI out to Block Island. It takes about 12 minutes is not for the faint of heart. Round trip tickets are $150.

THE NARRAGANSETT WILL NOT BE RENTING ROOMS THIS SUMMER DUE TO CONSTRUCTION. The wedding will still take place here. This is where the ceremony & reception will take place. It is also where the bride vacationed with her family over many years.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels on the island - and one of the only ones located directly on a beach. An outdoor beach bar, amazing food, beach access, modern surf inspired decor and location right in town make this a popular choice. It is on the pricier side.
