This is the best true sand beach on the island. It also has access to hiking trails from the beach.
This is an epic cliff and bluff beach with dramatic scenery. There are over 100 stairs down to the beach and it is gorgeous the whole way down. The beach itself is pretty rocky and the surf is rough, but it can be a cool place to swim if you dare :)
This is the top-tier clamming spot for those interested. It is a small sandy beach on the eastern shore of the Great Salt Pond. It is also a great spot to bring kids since the water is very gentle here.
The Surf is the beach bar and restaurant located at The Block Island Beach House. It is right on the ocean on a clamshell patio with a great bar. The food here is excellent and the cocktails hit just right. It is also within eyesight of the ferry, making it a great place to wait for your boat to come in on your way home.
