Things To Do
If you are an American History buff, Philadelphia is packed with historic sights such as Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Constitution Hall, Christ Church and more within walking distance of each other. The Franklin Institute, named for Ben of course, has many interactive scientific exhibits.
The Philadelphia Art Museum, Rodin Museum, and the Barnes Foundation with one of the words greatest collections of contemporary art are also within walking distance of each other.
The Morris Arboretum is not far from Fort Washington. It is the official arboretum of the State of Pennsylvania. In addition to the gardens there it has a garden railway, a unique grist mill, and the only free-standing Victorian fernery in North America.
These locations are often popular for holiday weekends; however, it is difficult to predict their restrictions this year. Many locations include their operation details online and we encourage doing so for advance reservation or number of visitors allowed.
