It all started with a fall on a soccer field: completely Evyn's fault but Brian apologized anyway. Not long after learning about Brian's re-enlistment, Evyn then decided to tear her ACL to try to get Brian to stick around but it didn't work. After a year of being 650 miles apart, Brian had to rely on some help from his friends to put together a surprise proposal. He put together a power point presentation with instructions for his friends to set up (which he claims they did not follow) and popped the question.

In the past year, we have survived 10 moves, 7 months of unemployment, and one pandemic. Through it all, we were fortunate enough to purchase our first home together in Colorado Springs. We are still standing, standing together, but now on top of mountains... the Rockies, that is. We could not have made it without our friends and families as well as those we met along the way!
