We are running with this unconventional thing- God started it! He used the internet to introduce us in the DYING days of November. We were engaged by the top of May, and prayerfully will be close the 1st week of July in marriage. While the pacing has been just right for the two of us, there hasn't been much opportunity for most to hear about the King's penmanship on this one. We will say this- God did NOT have to do this to qualify as good, but we are so glad He did. Here's what we're thinking- "Story Time with Kofi (Ralph) & Evie!" RSVP if we can expect you. Church Clothes
Marriage is a billboard for the Gospel. It's not about him or about her. It is a picture of the beautiful relationship via a radical sacrifice that purchased eternal redemption for sinners. With that in view, let's go to church! That's right- good ole Sunday morning service! You can expect a normal worship gathering where we sing, read, pray and have communion. Since scripture teaches that relationship with Jesus ought not to hide under a bushel (Matthew 5:15), just before the benediction, the Pastor will invite Ralph and Evie to paint a picture of the preached Gospel in a public declaration of marriage vows. Yea, told you- unconventional! The heart though, is that we be reminded that Jesus chooses us, changes our name, and that we are all in a season of waiting...for His glorious return.
